You see (and this is where I explain), my focus for homeschooling is to encourage my children to want to learn to know things, not to test them on what they didn't learn. My focus is to teach them to rely on their Creator and to Love Him with all of their hearts. My focus is for them to delve into subjects that interest them and not tell them "you aren't in the right grade to study this yet." My focus is to help them through the subjects that they struggle with and to encourage them to find good in those trials as well. My focus is on my individual child, not on a group of children all the same age.
While there are some schools that tempt me to put my children in them because they are way cool, I definitely feel called by God to educate the gifts that he has given me. I also feel called to obey all scriptures and to train them in the way that they should go. And by golly I am so glad that I am finally listening to my Father in this area!!!
