From the depths of the cave...

Sometimes, base housing can be a very frustrating entity. Although I have to say that since it has been privatized I do believe it is worse. This week I have been under the weather. With pink eye, ear infections, strept throat, upper respiratory infection, and flu. Yep all that in one me. The worst part of all of this is that I am sitting on my bed in Oklahoma that is 102-111 degrees as I type and our air conditioning, although set to 50 degrees is only cooling the house down to 85 degrees! I have all the blinds closed in the house, the curtains drawn, the doors shut, it is dark and we aren't even using the lights. We had to cook dinner tonight and that made the front half of the house so much worse, but seriously it is like we are living in a cave! I wish we could go to the pool for a few hours! I had the same problem last summer but was told that it was the design of the house, and that since it was an old house they could not do anything. So here we are another summer, sweating profusely, but waiting for another maintenance person to come out to help. I really do not like to be soaking with sweat in my home. Last year Avagrace asked me why I was raining. While I was pregnant last year and certainly not this year, the rain has returned...
